“Failure is only the opportunity to begin again more intelligently.” – Henry Ford
I can’t tell you how many diets I tried before I finally realized that it wasn’t me failing, but my approach to weight management that was letting me down.
The learning curve was more than painfuI: Start a diet with all good intentions, go ‘gung ho’ for a few days, encounter a circumstance that did not fit my plan, fall from the plan, overeat, blame myself for clearly being inadequate, wallow for a while in my lack, eat to comfort, feel worse, hang here for a while, and finally pick myself up (sometimes years later) to try the madness all over again.
Something never seemed quite right about this whole process….and that’s because it wasn’t.
Fast forward to today: Smarter, stronger, and working from my CORE, I commit to being true to myself. I eat what my body needs – hunger and fullness guide me. I enjoy eating and feel relaxed around food. My self esteem and confidence are increased because I am in control. (Repeat after each meal!)
Change your approach, change your life. It’s about more than the scale!
